Located in the beautiful county of Wiltshire, approximately 40 minutes from Southampton is the city of Salisbury. The Customer is transported from Southampton to the medieval 13th Century city of Salisbury. The driver will arrange a drop off and pick up time with the Customer beforehand to return them to Southampton/Cruise Ship Terminal. Firstly visiting the Cathedral where they will experience one of the first Cathedrals to be built on floating foundations. This was an engineering feat for the 13th Century. Inside the Cathedral they will see the world's oldest working clock, as well as the Magna Carta, which is the first written laws of the land, agreed by Barons and Royalty, to protect the common people, written on Deer parchment. A painting of the Cathedral by Constable is exhibited in the Cathedral. Refreshments of tea coffee and homemade cakes are available for purchase in the grounds of the Cathedral. Moving on from the Cathedral Customers can also visit a Military Museum of Wiltshire and an historic Museum with local artefacts. The City of Salisbury also has many 13th Century Public Houses each with their own historical points of interest and which are recommended based on the interests of the Customer. The duration of this tour including travelling is approximately 4.5 hours. The cost of this tour is £32.50 per person based on a minimum of 4 persons.
